> Free, privacy-first UV index web app for Scandinavia and the wider world. Check the current UV index together with temperature, pollen and an hourly forecast for your own location or any city — no account, no cookies, no tracking. Available in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish and English. Live at https://uvindex.se.

uvindex (uvindex.se) is a mobile-first progressive web app (PWA) that shows the real-time UV index alongside temperature, pollen levels and an hourly forecast. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo open weather data; forecast hours are shown in each city's local time. The app works offline, installs to a home screen, and can send optional UV alerts. It answers one question fast: how strong is the sun right now, and do I need sun protection?

UV index scale used across the site:
- UV 0–2 (Low): Low UV — enjoy the sun.
- UV 3–5 (Moderate): Use sunscreen if you're outside for long.
- UV 6–7 (High): SPF 30+ recommended.
- UV 8–10 (Very high): SPF 50+, seek shade 11–15.
- UV 11+ (Extreme): Avoid direct sun. Cover your skin.
